Stevie Wonder

Stevie WonderStevland Haraway Morris (ne Judkins) was born on May 13, 1950. He is known as Stevie Wonder and is considered as a pioneering musician, and has had an influencer on musicians of various genres from blues, jazz, gospel, soul to jazz. A virtual one-man band, Wonder's use of synthesizers and other electronic instruments in the 1970s reshaped the conventions of R&B. He also helped drive such styles into the album era making his albums cohesive and consistent, and also making expressive and socially conscious compositions. Wonder was blind at the time of his birth, was signed by Motown's Tamla label aged 11. The label gave him the professional title Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's famed critical success was at its height during the 1970s. His "classic period" began in 1972 with the release of Music of My Mind and Talking Book, the latter with "Superstition", which is one of the most unique and famous instances of the sounds of the Hohner Clavinet keyboard. His works Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingness' First Finale (1974) as well as Songs in the Key of Life (1976) all won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, making him the only person to hold the record for the most Album of the Year wins, with three. Wonder is the sole artist to win the Grammy Award for Album of the Year for three consecutive albums. Wonder was an "commercial artist" when he began to hit his best songs in the 1980s. The popularity of his music grew due to increasing albums sales, charity involvement, and significant collaborations.
